YouTube Makes It Easier for Small Creators to Earn Money YouTube is lowering the eligibility requirements for creators to make money from their channels. Starting today, creators will only need to have 500 subscribers and 2,000 watch hours in the past 12 months to be eligible for the YouTube Partner Program. Previously, creators needed to have 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours.
