When it comes to architecture, Brian Linder doesn't like to color inside the lines. Trained as an architect at Carnegie Mellon and UCLA, he also worked in real estate, marketing, and management consulting before establishing himself as a licensed "Architecture Broker." Under the name The Value Of Architecture, Linder began publishing increasingly elaborate video tours of the properties he represented in the Los Angeles area — most of them stunning residences designed by well-known modernist architects during the mid-20th century. By day, an Associate Professor and Associate Dean at the University of Illinois Chicago's School of Architecture, as well as Founding Partner of the practice Design With Company, Hicks has mastered the art of presenting complex topics in long-form videos that are both entertaining and educational (and addictive, we might add).
