Vladimir Guerrero Jr. had a playoff performance for the ages. His eight home runs were the most by a Toronto Blue Jays batter in a single postseason. The 29 hits he registered ranked second all-time in MLB postseason history. He also became the first player to hit a grand slam in Blue Jays’ postseason history during the ALDS. Even though the Blue Jays suffered heartbreak at the hands of the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 7 of the World Series, Guerrero Jr. cemented his playoff legacy with an epic performance. It certainly didn’t go unnoticed in his hometown of Don Gregorio, Dominican Republic. His wife, Nathalie Guerrero, was also seen celebrating with the crowd at the parade. Although Guerrero Jr. was born in Montreal, back when his father played for the Montreal Expos, he was raised in the Dominican Republic by his mother, Riquelma Ramos.
